Objectives
The program is aimed at specialists – kindergarten teachers, primary school teachers, folk dance pedagogues, amateur and professional dancers – who regard folk traditions as an integral part of kindergarten and primary school education, and who conduct or would conduct dance classes in kindergarten and primary school. Our intention is to equip our children together with interested specialists with traditional forms of movement expression, for the purpose of their harmonious development.

Goals
The program aims to provide effective methodological support for both beginning and practising educators in developing the dance movement of kindergarten and primary school-age children.
• Why, how and what we should teach our kindergarten and primary school-age children, as well as
• we also wish to help in matters of our own training and professional development.

Solution
In light of the above considerations, the idea arose to organise a 12-hour course. This amounts to three "long afternoons" from Wednesday to Friday, totalling 12 hours.

Project outline
Within the framework of the course we will attempt to outline a comprehensive system of reference points for the methodology of folk dance education in Transylvania and the Carpathian Basin. This system of reference points can be outlined based on four aspects:
• Cultural – pedagogical aspect
• Physiological – developmental psychological aspect
• Movement analysis aspect
• Dance history aspect

Dance education conceived in terms of the above system of aspects continuously keeps in mind that play is the child's natural element and comfort zone, and therefore applies a methodological approach that regards this as a priority to a great extent, while at the same time aiming to make the child receptive to the forms of movement of Hungarian folk dance.

As with other events or in other places, photographs and audio recordings may be made at this event. By entering the event, participants give their prior and explicit consent – without further question – to the recording and publication of their face and appearance as they may be recognizable in these recordings, for example for the purpose of promoting similar future events.

Anyone can add events to the Folk Calendar. We try to check the data daily, but we cannot take responsibility for its accuracy.
